Today we had an amazing Olympic Ambassador visit our school - Stacey Michelsen who plays hockey for the Black Sticks. She spoke to us about her journey to getting to the Olympics and what it was like at the Olympics. Stacey talked about the importance of playing a sport and then setting yourself goals. She also spoke about some of the Olympic values - one being Respect which is one of our school values. Stacey said, 'that you always have to be the best that you can be,' which is our school mission statement. Her talk was very inspiring and lots of us want to go to the Olympics one day.
We are a collabrative learning group of Year 3 and 4 students. Our teachers are Mrs Craig in Room 1 and Mrs Clarke in Room 2

Pet and Show Day
Oink! Baa! Moo! Meow! The school was filled with lots of animals for their annual Pet and Show Day. We even had eels and a hedgehog. While everyone worked for the morning in class the judges went around and judged all the fantastic pet and creations in the library.
Bring! Bring! Everyone rushed out the door to see what their pet had come. Some children were really excited. "My eels came third,' shouted Ryan.
After morning tea we had the grand parade. Everyone that had brought an animal paraded around the ring.
Pet Day was lots of fun.

Making Pizza
We have all become chefs in Room 9 and are learning how to write and follow procedures. In groups we created our own pizzas and then we wrote procedures for our pizzas using either a google doc, google slide or book creator on the iPad. Here are some pictures of our pizzas.
Here is a google slide presentation of How to Make Pizza.
